Beta IX is the ninth planet in the Beta system and the site of a major Terran Federation colony world.
The planet was colonized by the SS Gagarin along with the SS Aldrin colonizing Beta VII. The colony quickly became among the centers of culture within the Inner Colonies. During the Scoodian War, Beta IX was the site of a prison for Scoodian generals, governors and leaders captured by the Alliance.
